One of my other favorite hangouts besides Wizards of Words (www.wizardsofwords.org) is a local/State Florida Writer's  Association. This is a wonderful group of distinguished Authors, Writer's, Publishers and Agents. I have been so impressed with the meetings that we have monthly here in New Port Richey Florida.

Dahris Clair (Author of The House on Slocum Road: Echoes of the Past) is someone who is sheer genius and a dear friend of the Pasco County Chapter. I have so much respect for this author and our wonderful leader of this group. Dahris never ceases to amaze me of her humor, and intelligence. We are so blessed to have her as our leader here in New Port Richey Florida.

I am also a member of the FACT Team Advisory Committee in Pasco County Florida. We are a team that helps out the community in being there for those who are in recovery or who have disabilities. We are there to empower and help those live a better life. I am very proud to have been invited to be a part of this team. Even though I am disabled myself, I believe in giving back to others and doing volunteer work to give others hope. Being an author has helped more than one dream come true. Always be involved in your community--even if it for a few hours a week. There is so much to do and you have no idea how rewarding it can be!
